Lipid Based Formulation

NextPharma sites in Edinburgh and Ploermel are centres of excellence for the development of Lipid Based Drug Delivery Systems. Lipid Based Drug Delivery systems enable bioavailability and solubility enhancement through lipid and surfactant-based formulation design.  Both sites are experienced in a range of drug substances, including highly potent materials and hormones and targeted delivery is offered through enteric coating. 

We perform full formulation development and analytical development to a required target product profile, for both liquid filled hard capsules and softgel capsules. We can also transfer and optimise products at any stage within the product development lifecycle. Rapid scale up for clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing can be performed, alongside pharmaceutical packing and serialisation.
