On 28 November, Victoria Parker (analytical development) and Brianna Craig (stability analyst) from NextPharma Edinburgh attended the West Lothian Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards ceremony to receive the DYW (Developing the Young Workforce) Regional Employer award on behalf of the site. This award recognises businesses which work in partnership with local schools and colleges to inspire young people to develop their career aspirations and employability skills, and those that provide work experience and employment opportunities.
Colin Baxter from the site, who is also a DYW board member, said:
“Winning this award demonstrates that NextPharma are a progressive employer and are heading in the right direction to bridge the daunting gap between education and employment.”
Janice McLachlan, Site Director, added:
“We hope this recognition will encourage our local talented young people in our community to apply for the work placements and apprenticeship opportunities we offer, supporting the significant site growth planned for the coming years.”
