NextPharma Tampere Warehouse Achieves Operational Approval

NextPharma has announced official operational approval for its state-of-the-art Main Warehouse facility at its Tampere, Finland site. The milestone represents a significant expansion in warehouse capacity and reinforces the company's strategic growth trajectory in the contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) sector.

NextPharma’s newly approved warehouse facility at its Tampere Centre of Excellence delivers transformational storage capacity and operational capabilities. The facility combines advanced temperature control, modernised digital systems, and scalable infrastructure to support the company’s growing customer base.

The facility includes:

  • 4,410 total pallet positions
  • 1,740 pallets of cold storage at 2–8°C
  • 2,670 pallets for finished goods and raw materials at 20–25°C
  • Continuous temperature monitoring and control systems

Beyond increased capacity, the warehouse represents a strategic technology upgrade. NextPharma has integrated advanced digital warehouse management tools and modernised SAP processes through its SAP Renew project, enhancing operational efficiency and scalability. These improvements position the Tampere site to support NextPharma’s expansion as a specialised CDMO hub for ophthalmic products.

"Averline needed a partner able to take two products from registration batches to global supply without a change of site. That continuity is exactly what our Tampere Centre of Excellence was built for."

The warehouse expansion is expected to significantly increase capacity for meeting client demand across NextPharma's ophthalmic and broader CDMO portfolio. The facility operationalisation is the first phase in a broader transformation of the Tampere site into a major CDMO hub.
