We at NextPharma are a European contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) specialising in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical development, clinical trial supply, and commercial manufacturing. If you are evaluating CDMO partners, whether for early-stage formulation work, clinical supply, or full-scale commercial production, this page gives you a factual overview of how our network is structured and what we deliver.
The network
We operate 10 specialised manufacturing sites across Europe, each configured as centre of excellence for specific dosage forms, technologies, or regulatory requirements. We supply finished products to customers serving 70 global end markets.
Our network is structured to support the full product lifecycle from the point at which the API is available, covering formulation and analytical development, clinical trial supply, and commercial manufacturing and packaging. Because development, clinical, and commercial activities are coordinated within the same organisation, projects move between stages without external handoffs. Process knowledge, regulatory documentation, and formulation strategy remain continuous throughout.
We support operations with dedicated project management and cross-site technical teams.

All our sites operate under GMP conditions, with quality standards aligned at network level. Our sites are regulated and inspected by a variety of regulatory authorities including the following:
Our quality systems are aligned with ICH Q9 (Quality Risk Management) and ICH Q10 (Pharmaceutical Quality System), ensuring consistency in process control, documentation, and product quality across development, clinical, and commercial operations.
Each site operates under its own regulatory scope depending on the dosage forms and technologies it handles. Site-specific GMP certificates and inspection history are available on the individual location pages.

Operating model
Our network is designed to support pharmaceutical products within a single organisation, avoiding fragmentation across multiple partners. This structure has specific operational implications for your programme:
We align development, clinical supply, and commercial manufacturing within one organisation
Each site operates as a centre of excellence with defined technical ownership
We retain process knowledge within the network
Our supply chains are configured for both clinical and commercial volumes
This model reduces operational complexity for our customers and supports faster, lower-risk progression from development to market supply. For an overview of all our service areas, explore pharmaceutical development, clinical trials services, and analytical and microbiological services.
Sustainability:
Our sustainability programme, NextGreen, focuses on reducing environmental impact across our manufacturing operations. NextPharma has been at this committed neutrality on scope 1 and 2 since the beginning of 2025.
NextPharma has also joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), extending its commitment to reducing Scope 3 emissions across its value chain. A comprehensive greenhouse gas inventory has been completed, and targeted emissions reduction measures have been identified.
Scope 1 covers direct emissions from sources owned or controlled by NextPharma — fuel combustion in stationary and mobile assets, process emissions, and fugitive emissions. Scope 2 covers indirect emissions from purchased energy, calculated using a market-based approach.
Tracking began in 2021. Since then, the group’s combined Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions associated with energy consumption have decreased by 66%, driven by energy efficiency improvements and a progressive switch to renewable energy sources.
This reduction was achieved alongside a 18% decrease in energy consumption. The remaining emissions stem from fossil fuels for which no alternatives are currently available.
Reduction in combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions since 2021
Decrease in energy consumption over the same period
Committed neutrality on Scope 1 and 2 since the beginning of the year
